# In Cyberspace No One Can Hear You Scream

When I first jumped on the internet, it was a wild frontier where people were eager to talk with one another although there was a dearth of formats offered. The picture landscape was a Draconic, Spartan landscape. No pictures there buddy. No, no. You got ASCII on a good day. It didn't matter though, since everyone was eager to connect in ways that were impossible before.

## Now, New Assumptions

My new assumption, though, is that no one is listening, and probably if someone IS listening there is a good chance I'd rather them not be. This, of course, is an adversarial model which I am not eager to adopt. On the other hand, a writer writes not because of the audience despite what many writers might tell you to the contrary. If a writer writes to be *accepted* then I dare say that writer is not likely to be writing long.

### Some Fun Facts

The old internet, made in CERN, was built on top of what was once a temple to Apollo. This, of course, is the Greek god of the sun, but also happens to be the angel of the pit in Revelation that comes and destroys large portions of the earth. Combine this fella with the influence of Lucifer, and you got yourself a dynamic duo of nonsense. While the beginning of the internet seemed somewhat immune to these kind of spiritual influences, I would say the modern iteration is far less able to fend off the advance of entities which are hostile to life. Much of this is because the original decentralized aspect of the internet has fallen into a centralized, authoritarian model. Not only that, but groups like PRIDE, the thing Lucifer got thrown out of heaven for, try to define what hate is for everyone else. Most big tech companies are in bed with Luciferian interests.

## Back To The Simple Web

The simple web, though, has less of all *that* going on, and the Gemini protocol strips everything back down into the core components of what got everything started. Not only that, it makes hosting more what it was supposed to be in the beginning. It puts the focus on the text, and less on the images. While I can describe to you a picture of what I ate, you cannot see the picture and move along to the next dopamine hit. You have to think about it. It is slower. Less instantly gratifying. It is more like the world was before the internet was.

### A Long Time Ago...

When kids in high school were seeking a job, they were told that they should think about what they would do as a job if they were not going to be paid. The point of the exercise was to focus a person on what they loved, and have them do that as a focal point. Of course, college back then (and now) was not free as you could not tell your student loan people you picked a job for the love of it and so would not be able to pay them back what you borrowed because no job openings exist for what you love doing. The purpose of the exercise, then, was rendered pointless because of the financial reality of needing to make money. Ironic, yes? Do what you love, but also pay back your loans. Tricky territory. If you love British Literature for instance, well, you are kinda screwed. The internet is sorta like high school advice for college now. Whereas the internet used to be about doing a webpage on a subject you love it is now more how do you make sure you get ad revenue and not have all your work stolen by shameless robots or people that are little better than robots? Different model. Not as much love. Hence, the simple web.

## Moving Forward

Moving forward, I intend to show you how Lucifer has snuck in and probably convinced you that the web as it is is how it has to be and how you tend to support that view by giving your rights away. Most of the time, it will be due to laziness, or to make friends, or keep a job that you make this false choice. Then, I intend to show you how God views that through the lens of Israel. If you don't like any of that, well then, too bad, because another thing about the old internet was that there was plenty of shit out there nobody liked but it was still out there anyway to be read. That's the thing about free speech and having people speak about things they actually care about or have considered. You don't *have* to like it. An idea, or theoretical consideration, or an argument exists in a space for contemplation and maybe agreement if it presents itself to you in such a way that you decide it is correct. You don't get to switch it off because it reminds you of your Dad back in second grade, and you hate that guy, so you are gonna make sure to shut down someone who reminds you of him. Part of growing up is getting over all that to understand other human beings where they are, and not through the lens of where you want them to be for your own journey. So, sit down, get ready to be offended or enlightened, and move along to your next experience. That's my advice. Or, alternatively, sod off. (If you want extra points try looking up the etiology of that colorful phrase)
